Lucky to be in a Job

That's what people tell me when I moan about my job....however, I work for a company that thinks it ok to:- -Not connnect the heating in winter - too expensive(wear your coat like the FD) -Not connect the water system to the Urinals - too expensive -Not fix the windows - too expensive I work for a man who thinks it's ok to:- -Shout and roar and generally bully all members of staff in plain view of other members of staff -Offer staff members who have opted to go to other employment more money to stay and when they decide to stay, he laughs in their face and refuses to pay the agreed raise. -Cut peoples wages indiscriminately....ranging from "I don't like him - sack him" to "She's alright....don't cut her wages" So although I do understand that dropping from €580 to €204 would have a drastic effect on me and my ability to prvide for my family, I do not feel lucky to have this particular job...
2 Thumbs up

This just proves that not all of us are lucky to have a job. I am in the same situation so I totally understand you. Go to the Citizens Advise Bureau, they are very helpful!

Get on to the Health and Safety Authority. he's legaly obliged to provide proper toilet facilities and heat the place properly. get reself a diary and write down every thing. write down dates time and every thing he does thats abusive and bulling.then when you have a good record sue the bastard for all you can.

you can join a union on your own and it doesnt have to be with a group. If the others who work with you feel the same then get them to join too. You'll find their number in the book. I'm an employer myself and would never ever lose my temper or mistreat anybody. your boss needs a good kick in the ass and you can give him one

The recession is no excuse for employers to take rights away. I'd pay a visit to the citizens information, think they give free legal advise

Are you in a union? SIPTU would look after you. there are employment laws..and health and safety laws and laws against bullying at work..go to citizens advice, they should tell you where you stand. Good luck

Get the hell outta there its not worth the stress to stay in a job like that nobody should be treated like that in a job no money is worth that. You should all go on strike and give your boss a dose of his own medecine.
