I inherited managing a certian person in work. He's crap at his job and cost the company money because of lost contracts. Is it wrong to "manage" him out of the company? I feel bad because he's young and has a young kid but I dont feel bad because his actions could cost the business to fold.
Heartless... just heartless. you could end up been the very reason why their family dosnt eat at night, or even worse ends up homeless. Keep karma in mind!!!!!!!

I've giving this person over 5 chances over the past year and also giving him a very detailed list of what's required. He's just not interested in doing anything. He's on his final written warning so all the processes are being followed. It's just the thought of firing someone.

Give him a chance to prove himself. Tell him where he is going wrong and how important it is to the company that he doesn't screw up again. If his performance doesn't improve at least he can't do sue you for unfair dismissal because you gave him a fair chance

maybe find him a position that is more suitable to him

You're a manager! Do your job, otherwise you cant complain about others not doing theirs! If he's dead weight and causing the company to fail, you're more than entitled to get rid of him.
What you have to say is important. Write it here. Thanks.
