College Assignment Hell

I have an entire dissertation to do by the end of the month....and haven't done a thing in preparation. It's all because of a cross between having a lot of other assignments to do and procrastinating in general. Small peanuts, right? Yup, only it seems to be taking a toll on me physically: I'm always sick at random intervals, and seem to be depressed at an ever increasing rate. I may be going mad...only this past week, I just spent time I could've been doing work slumped at a desk in my room, almost weeping. So parents, friends, busybodies, if I fail my final year of college, this was why.

i had the same problem only a few months ago, i let things build up and suddenly i had 3 essays and exams looming, i talked to the academic advisor or equivilant person and they were so much help, i got extensions etc.Make a plan(something i NEVER did), get one bit done at a time and you will honestly find the work breeds work, the more you do the more you want to do! :)

YOUR PARENTS WILL HELP YOU THROUGH THIS. TALK TO THEM. IF THEY GIVE OUT LET THEM AS YOU WILL ONLY GET INTO MORE TROUBLE IF YOU FAIL. GOOD LUCK IN YOUR ASSIGMENTS..B

Stay calm, try splitting the project into smaller parts, don't think about it as a whole. See the college doctor if the anxiety continues. But really, just break down what you need to do into small parts, make a list, and take it one at a time. Ask for an extension if you have to. Try to not worry too much, these things all get done eventually, you've gotton to the last year of college, you've obviously been doing something right! Good luck! :)

STOP thinking about the entire dissertation that you have to do. Small steps!! Start researching and get 12-15 good scientific articles on your topic and start compiling from them. You're in 4th year, you know how to complete an assignment. You will get it done, it wll be tough, but start working on it in small blocks. Do the research and split it into the sections you want to work on, and think only a section at a time. You'll get there, you didn't get to 4th year for no reason. Best of Luck!

I know excatly how u feel, its a load of rubbish. So stressful I cant wait for it to be over. you need something to motivate yourself, give yourself something to look forward to. A holiday or even the idea of a new life. Not having stress of college rubbish. Have fun and jst remember its only a few months out of the rest of your life.

I only wish I had extended space to reply. This was me four years ago. My advice, just write! Write write write! Work work work! Be all over the place and edit it at the end. Your reseach Q, if I asked you what it was about in coversation, to tell me briefly, what would you say? Well, that's your structure. Read your material and separate it into three boxes, i.e 3 chapters, 3 small essays. Write write write, and edit at end

What you have to say is important. Write it here. Thanks.
