Exhausting best friend

Any advice on how to offload a long-term friend who's more bother than she's worth? It's as if I have a needy, self-obsessed child- something I don't need at 19 years old. I can't listen to her talk about herself at length anymore. I don't know if I'm heartless or just have a melted head from putting up with her CRAP!

Just tell her in a joking way..come on now enough is enough, lets enjoy ourselves now and if that doesn't work say ..I feel for you but your wrecking my head move on ..and if that doesn't work move on you deserve to have fun.

this cud be very tricky but you could simply tell her that you dont think ye have the same things in common anymore or you could be brutally honest and tell her you just feel like shes too self obssessed it wont be pretty but itl be honest and the deed will be done or you could take the safe approach and just keep turning down time with her be busy with other things and quickly 'drift' apart....

that's a toughy. in my opinion, all you can do without being extremely nasty and just ignoring the person, is actually sit down and tell them exactly what you think, that you can't listen to it anymore. got rid of one of those myself lately, not sure which is worse, listening to their crap all the time or having to finally deal with your own crap! it's a funny life! :)

What you have to say is important. Write it here. Thanks.
